Eagar & Springerville, AZ

Eagar & Springerville are collectively known as Round Valley, an area in the foothills of the White Mountains at an elevation of about 7,000 feet. The Round Valley area has a variety of activities which shape its local economy, including tourism, agriculture, construction, forest service, hunting, fishing, lumbering, and retail sales.

Scenic Attractions

Eagar and Springerville are both bordered on the south by the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest which contains 4 rivers, 24 lakes and reservoirs, and 680 miles of trout streams, as well as primitive areas for pack trips and hiking, and hunting for big and small game. Nationally recognized archaeological ruins, Casa Malpais, are located within the Springerville town limits. The Little Colorado River originates in Greer just 14 miles west and flows through Eagar and Springerville on its way north and west to the Grand Canyon. The Springerville Volcanic Field contains 405 vents and covers 3,000 square kilometers. The field is the third largest of its type in the United States. The many lakes, streams, year-round hunting and nearby Sunrise Ski Resort make Round Valley a true “Community for all Seasons”.
